On 30th October St John’s Community Care Aged & Disability services will be holding their annual Seniors Celebration with a luncheon at Redlynch. Attendance from regional and diverse communities including Cassowary and Tablelands area. Connecting with one another has never been more important – that is why St John’s continues to Celebrate Seniors Month. They are acknowledging and celebrating older Queenslanders and their ongoing contribution, whether as volunteers or in the workforce, community leaders. St John’s is dedicated to improving the lives of people all ages through intergenerational collaboration. The Redlynch Pre-school group is included in the entertainment program showcasing their talent. Along with being fun, intergenerational entertainment programs are advantageous to kids’ and seniors’ lives as well as society as a whole. The Seniors Celebration attendees have the opportunity to engage with service providers at the information stalls, exchanging information and ideas. Socialising at the luncheon and forming relationships with a range of people opens opportunities to see & learn things and encourage attendees to use available services.
