St John’s Greek Orthodox Parish is holding it’s annual Greek Festival community event on 2 July 2023, from 10:30 – 4pm, gold coin donation for entry.

A great family event and an opportunity to embrace the Greek culture with a variety of delicious Greek food, lip-smacking sweets, Greek music and dancing.

Lots of activities on the day: Zorba lessons, plate smashing, cooking session, Greek women cooking honey puffs, olive spitting competitions, belly dancing, multicultural entertainment program, church tours and a variety of children’s activities.

Cooking demonstrations by Phillip Vakos, 2010 Masterchef Competitor and the Cretan Dance Group from Brisbane.

The Festival celebrates and showcases the flavors of Greek food, culture and embraces the wider communities. Monies raised from the Greek Festival multi raffle goes towards purchasing resources needed for families and clients of St John’s.
