Uber to face committee questions
Uber representatives will today answer questions at a review into the Queensland government's ride-sharing reforms.
The legislation, being examined by a parliamentary committee, seeks to create a level playing field for taxis and ride-sharing services.
Uber wants the process for applying for an Uber driver licence to be moved completely online, to help take pressure off the Department of Transport and Main Roads.
The ride-sharing app was launched in Cairns last month.
